Golden Eagle Amplifiers
I am looking for information on Golden Eagle brand amplifiers. I have had a few of the golden eagle 750s and a couple of the golden eagle 200s. I'm looking for lineage info if possible. I have seen gold ones and all of them that I have had have been black two of the seven fifties and both 200s I have had were black with white lettering I now have a 7 black with gold lettering. This is the first one I've ever had with 27lf sixes all the rest had 20 LF sixes and I never had a minutes problem with any of them my first golden eagle 750 I bought brand new in the mid-80s with 20 LF sixes in it and it worked flawlessly for 12 to 14 years. I have heard they were built by the people that made the kenrich eagle, and I have also heard this is not true. By looking at them they sure look a whole lot like the kenridge inside and out. Does anyone have any info on these?

Re: Golden Eagle Amplifiers
Hello dfitch61,
Welcome back to the forum. I think you answered your own question, side by side the are almost identical with the exception of cosmetic differences. They are a clone but made to the same specs as the Kenrich models using Kenrich parts. The one you have with the 27v tubes has been modified, probably a transformer change that didn't have a 20v tap and the availability of tubes. You might find info on "BAMA" website (Boat Anchor Manual Archive).
