Skipper 71b No power
Hi all, I am now the proud new owner of a Palomar Skipper 71b.
It was given to a friend of my who gave it to me.
All in all its in restorable shape and I would love to get this thing up and running
it has a couple tube that tested bad and no power transformer.
Iv located tubes and schematics online. im not wanting to drop my hard earned
green stamps on anything unless I know I can get the power supply transformer
Any help as to where I could find one would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Skipper 71b No power
Going to have fun searching the internet for parts for it, need to first find a SAMs Photofact CB Radio Series (CB-46).

Tubes shouldn't be too bad, matching the transformer might be a headache. You can find TX and RX crystals if you want to get some of the higher popular channels for AM or look at a Siltronix VFO.

Re: Skipper 71b No power
I have a 71B as well. Mine has power and turns on lights up . heaters for the tubes seem to be working. not all of tubes are in the sockets. ( the radio came this way ) . To the point, when I switch Modes LSB to USB fine. From USB to Am its burning resistors in the carrier osc circut. Any Ideas ? Anybody
