install info, for a texas star350 amp

hello once again,
as you all know i'm new to this. but i have had a bit of help.
thx
here is my set up:
connexHP3300 with TX & RX upgrades, ast 636 mic, wilson1000 magnet
swr tuned to ch1: 1.2, ch20: 1.05 ,ch40: 1.05

since my antenna tune on saturday, i'm already being called a mud duck :blackeye: , yes i am.
so i'm itching to be a bit bigger. maybe now just a duck! LOL

i'm looking to already get a amp, nothing big, but it should help a bit.
looking at a texas star350 the shop has them & will do the install & all the adjustments.

here is a list of what i was told already what i want them to do, is there anything else i need to tell them?
or maybe this list isn't correct.

set the dead key
aline
high side no higher than 4
low side at 1 1/2 or 2
the dead key shouldn't be more than 40% of the total output
100 to 150 watts dead key & let it swing the rest.
by doing this i was told my set up will last.
what do you all think?
the shop didnt tell me this, a fellow cb'er did.
your input would be greatly appreciated & helpful.
thanks again,
gorilla

sounds right to me, i have a Galaxy 73 with a Texas Start 250 runing now since mid 1997 and the radio low is 1 1/2 watt pushing the 250 and still kicking, so yes run it low and it will last and you should have no problems.

HI, everything im reading say's that it is dead key approx 80 watts,
& swing up from there to 180 to maybe 225 to 250.
not many can reach 350watts.

tell me where i would place the radio shack swr meter. so i can test the watt/power. with a flip of the switch.

cb radio , texas star 350 afterburner, wilson 1000 magnet antenna. where would the swr meter go in between?

instead of buying the dosy TFC3001, which i dont have any room for in my vehicle.

i want to test the power of this set up.
& since i didnt do the install, not sure where its needs to be hooked up to.

if i was to guess i'd say out of the amp. i think?
thanks again

hi running 325 , not bad. should last.

but looking into a monster alt. from _____ can't say might get a infraction.
but they seem to be the only 1 that makes several for my toy.
i have a 150amp now. with 2 battery's.
my kinetik 1800 is sweet. now thats a battery. run's audio & cb only.
plus my other for the vehicle. but they are all linked together.
if you want to know where to get a huge alt. pvt message me.
looking to upgrade to a almost 400, direct bolt. & upgrade the wiring.
& than move up to a sweet 16.
doesn't take me long, to start moving up the chain.

i guess what i read isnt always correct. 225 to 250. for the TS350
im happy. & im beginning to fit right in. & being accepted.

next is the freq counter rx & tx, direct plug in. this way i can almost ID people.
& i'd like to have a out put watts meter, & the PA system.
just another few toy's.

1 thing i just can get used to is my high stinger antenna. i seem to hit everything with my stinger.
almost 12' high.
most might take it off, but it seems to be i'd be doing this several times a day.
what a real pain to be doing this several X's a day. but i surely like my swr reading. so i dont want to mess with it. swr readin are great even with the afterburner. & no alt noise.
