I just tried the mic and I'm getting a loud tone every time I key the mic. I'm fairly certain the mic element is good so which wires should I try switching? I'm getting recieve out and i'm able to key up but when I key I get this just loud fairly high tone.

As long as you know that the pinout on a 5 pin din the numbers are in a star pattern (see diagram) not in a row the only thing i would suggest switching are the white and shield wires. The original code i posted is the only one i have for that radio assuming the mic is stock (not modded in any way).
