External Speaker for Tube Radio

Just wondering if the tube radios generally take the same 8ohm type external speaker as the modern radios or is the speaker different. Just got a tube Spitfire Mark II and don't wanna do any damage.

An 8 ohm speaker is sort of the 'normal' kind of thingy. Doesn't really matter a huge amount it the thing feeding that speaker is tube or transistor. What works with one ought'a work just fine with the other.
And since dang near all receivers have different 'tonal' capabilities, some speakers with different 'tonal' abilities will sound better than others. 'Customize' till it isn't worth it anymore. You gotta define the 'worth it' part.
