Where to buy tubes ??

here's a place to get your tubes from. they even stock 6mj6's and 6lq6's although at the premium prices we have come to know. you tell the guy what you will be using the tube in (I talked with them about tubes for my SWR Mo'Bass amplifier and was about to get the highest priced tube they had but the tech schooled me and steered me in a different direction at a much lower price) try them.

ebay i bet is cheapest ? check it out. are you sure they are bad ? new tubes may not change the performance. i have a 240d that had weak receive, all new tubes, same problem. at least i know they are fresh tubes the 12ax7 is the mic preamp tube. i use an rca blackplate. with the range expand on, it has grungy tube tone that never gets too distorted to understand. 2zero9

I just got the radio and it seems to work ok but I just thought some fresh tubes in it would ease my mind plus I would have some extra laying around when one does go bad----- ebay is a little scary you just dont know what your getting in the tube market. Would like to get them from someone I know that they would be new

The Svetlana tubes are the ones I seek, they are available straight from the Ukraine, but have a lead time. I am also leary of ordering from overseas. I don't trust ebay either.
