I HAVE A COBRA 148F GTL NOT DX I AM TRYING TO PUT A ECHO BOARD IN THIS RADIO THE BOARD WAS IN A 29 I MARKED EVERYTHING AND REMOVED THE BOARD IT WAS IN SERIES WITH THE CENTER WIRE IN THE MIC. GAIN POWERED WITH 8 VOLTS AND THE SHIELD RUN TO THE MIC. SHIELD I INSTALLED IT JUST LIKE THIS IN THE 148F HAVE NO MOD. AT ALL I REMOVED THE BOARD AND PUT THE 148F BACK LIKE IT WAS WORKS FINE INSTALLED THE BOARD BACK IN THE 29 WORKED GREAT REINSTALLED IT IN THE 148F STILL NO MOD. I HAVE INSTALLED ALOT OF BOARDS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!

Alright this made no sense. I got a friend of mines 148f and it has the same board in it but the mod does not go threw it?? You just but both wires on the audio circut out of the mic plug hey sounded crazy to my but it worked...
