OK I finally found someone on web who makes bracket and everything i need for dual alternator setup, for my 04 silverado.

Now the same old question is need alternator amp. size?

I want to run a 2x6 DM or Fat Boy to go with my connex

I would like to stick with 1 extra battery, under hood if possible but if can't do that will put 2 battery's some where else.

Yep, well said, 80mm, I'd get all I can regardless. You're there, you're doing it, and you never know that you may want next. It's just like standing at the beer store. Grab that other case. Gas is $3 a gallon, and you'll just be back tomorrow if you don't, and we don't need the extra 6 cans littering the highway from your return trip, as you key the mic dropping the maul on nuns in school buses with flat tires, with the window down and your system up.

That said, while you're on the AMP aisle, go ahead and get the 2X8 pack and save yourself that extra trip. The price per ounce, or watt, is cheaper and you know you want it. Notice I didn't say "go ahead and buy the KEG". It, like the 16 pill you'll end up with, cost too much for now, and you don't know if you're really THAT thirsty yet. -drdx
