#69399

Post by gravedigger4222 »

i have some good older powermikes i havent used in years like a turner..few noise cancelling radioshack powermikes that used to work good for me only problem is they take the little 7.5 batterys is there a way to convert them to 9 volts or a way to stack like watch batterys together to get 7.5 volts or somewhere to order them pretty reasonable as they seem to be very hard to find now

Try Rat Shack or Batteries Plus if ya got one of them locally. Rat Shack carries them for shock collars for dogs not cheap about $17.00 bucks for a silver oxide and about half that for alkaline.

You can get them at Walmart in the electronics department or even a camera shop if you have one local. I have an old Turner 2 mike, so I had to find some of those as well.

grab a pack of hearing aid batteries, tape 5 of them together, you;ll get 7.5 volts outta it.
Ive been doing it for years, works great.
dont spend $17 on a battery when u can make yer own for under $5
try the dollar stores , maybe cheaper there

I found mine at Pet Smart in with the dog training collars. A lot cheaper than the dept. stores too. And the security systems door and window sensors use the same battery.

You can use those 12v remote control batterys you use in car alarm remotes. I have used them in the old Turner M+2/U's and M+3 hand Mic's and the Turner 60's and 70's that normally use the 7v and they work just fine.

The Duracell 6v camera batterys work also but are a little more expensive than the 12v's.

Only difference you would notice using a 12v, is you won't have to turn up the volume as high using a 12v vs. the 7v.

You just have to bend the battery progs a little so the 12v will fit.
