Hey..

If you review the rules and FAQ's that you agreed to when you joined CBRT.

Google 'Radio Shack' 23 channel radios and take a look at the images.

#1.. what rule am i breaking.. i went back to rules and dont see any issue.
#2 first thing i did was look inside the case for markings. no mic so no name stamp on that, googled radio shack 23 channel radios. radio shack base/mobile 23 channel, looked at ebay and craigs list. that is how i found it looks like the trc 30a but the face is backward to the pictures. the pics i have are of the face and the inside with case removed. i read a lot here but try not to bother anyone until i am realy stuck..

thanks.. Dan

Het..

You didn't break any rules...you wondered why you could not post pictures...and in the FAQ's it states:

Why can't I post images or links?
In order to keep spammers at bay, and to ensure that we keep the site clean from their posts. The admin of CBRT have disallowed new users from being able to post images or links to other sites until that user reaches 11 legit posts.

It's most likely a TRC23 , They almost look like a mirror image of the TRC30.

There is a picture of one below in the link

The Realistic TRC-23 was a top of the line affordable radio back in the 60's, it actually came out before the FCC got strict on the output spec's. The channels are crystal controlled, some of the "hotdogs" back in the day would change out some crystals for higher or lower channels. If it's a nice clean radio I'd do a recap and alignment, doing anything else will just ruin the value.
