I love it!!! I 've got a friend of mine who's ONLY concept of 11 meter radio is what he knows from trucking. He would be JUST like that guy in this video if you gave him a SSB radio!!! Fu**** Hillarious.

I'll say this.... if you've never run on SSB before... this is a great example of what can happen if you don't fully understand how to use the clarifier...and why you might want to unlock your clarifier (provided your radio will support it). Understanding that temp variations can cause your SSB to drift a bit is also helpful tool. Excellent educational piece!!!

I realize I am a day late and a dollar short to this convo, and I'm smiling that anyone actually found this ... that is me talking to "Fox" about how to use his RCI-2950DX.jbusa8 wrote:I just love the attitude of the operator running the gate. Every word he says just amplifies the apparent stupidity of the new guy, in a manner that isn't derogatory or 'mean'.
Ignorance can be fixed. Stupid will present a special challenge!

Many, many moons ago when I was a pre-teen my grand father got me into CB radio. He would always comment "A lot more of these people need to be listening, instead of talking!" I feel that is still so true today....
