Megawatt Power Supplies

Hello CBRT, and welcome. I'm sure you guys have heard this a million times. But just wanted to say how happy i am with my new S-350 supply. I had a terrible clicking sound every second or so. couldn't really fiqure it out. But with this new supply, no more clicking sounds. And i was using a laptop supply which put out 12 volts and 3 amps. I though it was great. My radio felt different. So sure you can find all kinds of cheap and/or free supplies. But my personal opinion. Don't waste your time, money or your equipment. Do the right thing and buy the best. The options are great. You are able to hook up 3 different items. Altho i would not recommend running a amp and radio on the same supply ( Advise given to me by MDY ) so in my case i will be 100% buying several more of these fine units.

Thank you all

I'll probably be buying another one down the road. I'm pretty sure the KL503 will want it's own supply. Running out of time to get my letter into Santa

One of the problems associated with the fans is they aren't designed to be over-volted, the PS runs at 14+v and the fan likes 12v. Build a small regulated and adjustable circuit (drop the voltage to about 10v) for them and it will quiet right down.

hi, I just removed the fan, it gets just a little warm but nothing to be worried about...the fan noise is gone and listening to my radio is very enjoyable now.. otherwise its a great power supply...

Trust me, that did cross my mind. All my equipment is in the basement. Never gets above 70* down there. So will see. Maybe i'll try dropping the voltage first
