This Mk 3 I got was workin good but now its developed a bad distortion in the transmit audio...ever since recap...what I really need is a copy of Sams CB79 to do further vltge cks...anyone got access to that Sams?

After about 4hrs on the bench I found a leaky 0.47 cap in the audio chain causi ng all the issues.what a **Censored** finding that...didnt suspect it but anyway she workin great again thank goodness

Good deal,, I usually buy a Sam's if the radio is a keeper for future references, Browning is one of the few radios I haven't ran across a deal on yet.

Now I just need a decent buffer amp to boost the output of the Siltrnix model 90.It is too weak to drive the PA....workin on a two transistor homebrew
