Good morning Rabbit Ears,

I do have a few scrap HR-2510s in my storage unit. Right now they are buried somewhere in a pile towards the back. I may have one with a CPU board. The board does not work, but may have L-318. I won't be able to get to it until next week, but I will look and get back to you. If you don't hear from me in two weeks just PM me and I will make it a point to get to it.

I will be cleaning out some of the stuff in storage on President's day; it is my day off and it has to be done anyway. I will look for it then. I have a least 3 units, so there is a good chance one of them has the CPU board.

Until then,

Respectfully,

Best Regards,

Rick, The CB Doctor

Please....please....please! :bounce: :bounce:

We have had good business before. Very good part! *wife is VERY happy*

The last owner tried to convert it to 11m *badly*. Beautiful rig!

If you could come up with a whole board or the whole rig...(the easy way)...Outa' sight!! Anything would do.

Just PayPal me.

Will do. I am working 6 days a week right now so I will take advantage of this Monday off to look for a chassis for you. I definitely have a few, they are all missing some parts. None of them have the Final MRF-477. I know I have a least one CPU board. Finding it in my pile of "Stuff" is the trick. I have to clear the storage unit out to make room for more stuff. I will find it and contact you.

There just isn't enough hours in the Day. Right now we are getting hit with snow every Monday and today the temperature was 1 degree. Not to worry it is going to be a balmy 12 degrees by this afternoon

I will contact you Monday evening. I have to look for parts for a Washington for someone else, so I can kill two birds with one stone.

Until then,

Best Regards,

Rick, The CB Doctor

What do you need for your Washington???.... I have a 3-button. I have some small stuff. If I have it handy you got it.

Just a parts unit with a cpu....it does not have to have finals.

Good morning Rabbit Ears

I know I have a CPU board; finding it is the trick. The Washington part is for someone else. It is the older 2 button 858 chassis. I have plenty of them, but thanks for the offer. I have most of Monday to go through my storage bin. I will find the CPU board and the Washington part.

It will take some "digging" but it is in there.

Thanks anyway, I will contact you Monday evening after I locate it.

Okay,

You are cool in my book. I've got some small stuff and wanted to offer it to you for free. Wife told me to get rid of ALL my parts rigs a few years ago *we closed our rental storage unit in town out*.

-- Thu Feb 19, 2015 7:34 pm --

Fixed the problem.

Thanks for the understanding.

-- Fri Feb 20, 2015 7:27 am --

Problem repaired... split trace!

I have too much stuff I collected over the years and either the stuff goes or I have to according to the wife. I think I will stay. I have a few HR-2510 chassis' ; I was able to see them, but could not get to them; they are buried way in the back. I will get to them and all of the other chassis' this weekend.

It is good to hear that you fixed the problem. It is important to keep as many of these radios in service for as long as possible. In my humble opinion it is the best true 10 meter radio that works on 11 meters ever made. It was Uniden's plan to make a CB radio that was easy to modify, so they designed the HR-2510 after the President Jackson and added some improvements. Too bad the FCC caught on.

There isn't an export radio made, sold as a 10 meter radio, that can out perform the HR-2510 from 26 MHz to 29.9999 MHz on the first version and 26 MHz to 29.6999 on the second and third generation. There isn't a export made that has the adjacent channel ejection and a receiver that can detect a signal below .1 microvolt. (Point 1) and be so quiet, especially on SSB.

Too bad finding a Final MRF-477 is almost impossible to find.

Respectfully,

Best Regards,

I managed to jury-rig the cpu board. It was what I said a broken trace caused by being vibrated around??

Get to me after the first of the month and maybe we'll bargain for a parts radio. I could sure use one.

I've seen some gem dandy mods using the MRF455 final.

I have some rifle scopes I can trade for??? Cash is fine too. I can send you a listing before I send them to eFray.

Redfield is among them.
