I would normally throw a DX party at a local park, but I plan to be out of town. However the skip conditions are too good to pass up. I made a post trying to see if anyone could loan me a 2 pill amp for a few days. I'd love to be able to reach out and touch someone this weekend.

So will there be any "power hours" where a certain time of day, say at noon central time, or whatever that we will have a concentrated effort at having a serious slugfest of signals penetrating the band, increasing chances of contact? -drdx

Still no good base antenna up yet. Down on power in the mobile, hurt the Palomar 450, running off of the 225 right now. Got to work a shut down on the 4th, but I will have the mobile on on the way too work around 5:00 A.M. and on the way home that evening.

I assume this is another 3 day deal, so i will hit the mobile on Saturday and Sunday and see what I hear.

I'll try.
Is there a website that tells when conditions should be good?
I only change the channel and check around after I already hear some skip.

sometimes you dont have to hear it to shoot it and receive it, ive had BC Canada tell me to STFU one night when me and a few friend where on a supposedly dead channel... so anything's possible.

I heard someone out in VA and GA. I might have made a DX to the guy in GA, but I can't remember his number.

Shaft 3-6-9 is what I called out.
