has anyone tried out the DELTA M2 desk mic ?
If so, what kind of audio reports did you receive ?
What kind of radio were you using ?
Were you on AM or SIDEBAND ?

I read a few reviews but, to be honest, not many people I know are actually qualified to give an accurate audio check.
They say stuff like , it sounds good or it's loud,
I Iike details like, midrange, treble, bass, volume, clarity.....

Local here has one, and it sounds good and clear... But how a Mic sounds on one persons radio, may not sound as good on another...Depends on how your radio is set-up..I know allot of guys who have real good Mic's sound like crap because they have their Mic gain turn up so high they over modulate and sound distorted...Not the Mic's fault.

We have guys here that refuse to turn their mics down, get all **Censored** when you tell them theyre too loud.
I used to have my mic cranked wide open all the time untill I heard what they sounded like.
Now, I keep my mic and mic gain on the radio at lower then half way.
Nice and clean audio from now on .

I told a local that his mic was turned up too high, he of course denied this. I then told him I heard his LG phone boot up. Turns out it was his wife's phone in the next room. He turned the mic down.....

Thought I would add a pic so everyone could have a look. Something new, not sure about the quality of sound. I like that it has knob type potentiometers instead of the slides which get dirty and go bad. Nice to see a new product that is not full of junk like RB's or echo.

The local here that has one sounds good...BUT! If you think it's going to give you a studio-type sound..."It's Not"...They sound good, but nothing special...I guess if I had to compare it to another desk Mic, it sounds about the same as a Turner+3 or similar Mic...not "tinny" sounding like some D104's sound...

that is what they are claiming
they said it sounds like a d104 or turner.
i never said anything about studio sound
and it has a tone dial.

I was in a "chain" computer store picking up a flash drive and they had a similar microphone head on a stand, no amplifier, in colors, 3.5mm mono plug for a heck of a lot less.

I seen one of them heads mounted on a D104 base , the guy changed out the element to a crystal so it would work with the D104 board , the head was chrome with a turquoise grill, looked nice
