I picked up an old old Motorola desk mic and the cord was shot. I replaced the cord and pinned it for my Pres Washington. The problem I'm having is the mic itself. I was able to key it up and get audio but when I key up it squeals like crazy. Does anyone know the wiring for the old Motorola mics. I check the head its fine. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Re: How do you wire an old Motorola deskmic
If the Washington is a 5 pin model the TX/RX common lead needs to be separate from the microphone's negative lead. I'm not sure how that mic's PTT switch is setup.
