Hey..

Here's a Turner mic wiring guide.

http://www.cbtricks.com/mic_m ... g_book.pdf

As far as the Super Sidekick to 980SSB =

1.Yellow audio hot
2.Black RX switching
3.Red TX switching
4.No connect
5.Shield
6.7.8 VDC phantom power for power mic with need of ext. power or N/C

Save it to your favorites...you'll use it often.

Just to add make sure the "Relay/Electronic" switch on the bottom is set to electronic. The audio wire on the sidekick is white.

Ok I found out this: 1-white 2-shield 3-black 4-red. This setup works but,2 things are wrong.

First I have to have it on relay,if I try to go to electronic when I press the bar to talk,it starts to change channels by itself !

Second I get audio but,I also get one hell of an audio feedback !

Perhaps this helps

That is not the wiring for the Uniden Bearcat 980, is it the 4pin to 6pin adapter cable that comes with it? The wiring Bombero posted is for the radios mic jack, not the adapter. Changing channel is something strange since the mic jack isn't setup to do that function.

I got this radio,as a refurb from Uniden.I am still clueless as to the wiring.
Someone on another topic sent me this:

1-White
2-Red
3-Black
4-N/c
5-Shield
6-N/C

I ordered a few 6 pin plugs, hopefully I will be able to finally wire it right.
