OldFuelInjection.com Has these 3G Alternator up grades for my 93 F150, mine has a factory 95A but some cars with heavy draw had 130A-these are 160A.
They fit back to '88 and go on up past '93 . they idle at 100 amps says the websight. Can use same bracket with some grinding. $130
I Wonder if the volts could be tweeked?????????
Just thought I would share!!

yes they can! you have to mod the voltage regulator.they usually put out 14 volts or a little more 15/16 is the cut off point usually. do the reaserch on the regulator and step it down a touch. they might sell ones for the purpose of racing.!check out MSD

you can have a adjustable voltage regulator installed but anything over 14.5 then you take a good chance of heating up the battery or batteries and boiling them
the reason for more amperage is so the amp will hold up just by turning up the voltage wont help getting a bigger alternator with more amps will help

Have you checked out the sponsor "Nations Alternators" to see what they could do for you and when you call tell them you are a member. The sponsors forum plug doesn't work so here is their website.

PS, batteries really don't like anything over 14.2 volts

We can custom build your EXTREME AD-244 ALTERNATOR set up for external regulator and wire
harness to run to the 911-02R regulator in your vehicle interior or wherever you like it.
