Re: 102 Whip
I did away with the 102" and spring and bought the 108" whip instead. A lot less flopping around and better swr than the 102. Its mounted on a Tri-Mag with 5" magnets dead center of my Ford F150 extra cab. I also ran a 1-1/4 " copper braid strap from the mount to the trucks frame though it probably wasnt needed. I run this 108 with a 2x8 FB amp and 9914 davis coax cable. SWR is 1.3 (sitting still)even with the amp on:-) A fine tuned BEAST!....

Re: 102 Whip
I ran one on a Saturn with homemade trunk mount. Worked great but looked like an RC car!

Re: 102 Whip
I have a 102 SS whip on my Toyota Tacoma. Had to purchase some brackets for mounting. Bought two of them because I will co-phase them eventually. Had to move the mounting back a couple of inches from the cab, though. Too much SWR. No spring. The only noise I have is from the AC blower motor on high!!!
