Magnum s6350

So I bought what I thought was a used radio. It turned out to be a new in the box s6350. It was bought and tuned for a guy online in Oct. 2014. He ended up never coming back to pick it up. So on the post tune spec sheet it says it's tuned for

5-70 watt carrier
380 watt pep

380 seems too high for this radio. But I'm not to we'll versed on what rigs can handle. Should I not run this radio, or will be ok to just leave the variable power down all the way until I get it to someone I trust.

Also, the original power cord had a 30 amp fuse in it. Which seems too low and doesn't make sense to me that it would even come with a 30 amp fuse.

Can anyone help me figure this out.

Also,

I would tune it down to 300w (350+w is why you don't see a lot of them around), it is a mosfet amp in that radio, has a neat PCB, 2 drivers and 2 finals. Because it is a fet radio 30a fuse sounds about right.

I will have it turned down to around 300 asap

If I keep the variable power down, I know that lowers the carrier/ dead key, but does that lower the pep aswell?

I ran it today, pretty much all day. I haul oversize and talk to pilot cars all day. It got a little warm, but no where near hot. I put a tornado fan under it and it stayed pretty cool all day. Not sure if that means it's safe to run on low power for a couple weeks till I'm back home...

Talking to those chaser vehicles you could probably turn it all the way down, the radio has a modulator module in it so it will still get up in power. The other thing to keep the radio alive is low SWR and a big antenna but you already know about that.
