hey I got a Sonar BR21 tube amp.I cant find much on it .i checked out cb trick and they have a manual . My question is how much power should i expect to see out of it. Im driving it with the browning so its 4 watts rms.

Good question. Back in the day the amp would put out around 100w on AM (SSB a little more), figuring the tubes (6JB6)(if they weren't replaced with 6JU6's) are older, my guess would be around 70 easy. A 6JB6 tube is rated at 35 to 50w.

ok well the tubes are good i tested them and they are 6JB6's. what would the issue be if i was only getting 50 watts out? i followed the tuning directions also ?

These amps were only rates at 35-40 watts dead key with 3-4 watts drive.. They ONLY have 475 volts on the plate, most sweep tube amps run 800-1000 volts..
