Texas star 667V
Well ive gone and done it now. I using my 667V and i forgot to put the fan on it and i suddenly lost my receive and i saw smoke so i waited a bit and opened it up and everything appears ok so i took the cover off the following day hooked it up and when i tried it i noticed smoke coming from the on button area. Any ideas? everything still looks clean and not burnt.

Re: Texas star 667V
You may have to get out the old magnifying glass, there is really only 4 things that might smoke in it, the transistor naturally, a capacitor or resistor and possibly a trace. I have never seen a switch (bulbs yes) in a TS go bad but there is always the first time. Look carefully for any discoloration in the components in that area.

The larger they are the more wattage they can handle.
