HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Back in 1990 or 1991, I bought a HURRICANE 350 amp . . . I got out of radio for about 20 years and never actually used it, but I am back now - LOL ! . . .
Here are a few pics, including the Instruction Manual . . . Notice, it does have the four MRF-492's . . .ENJOY !

Re: HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
I haven't seen one of them in ages. Very nice, very clean, and the instruction to boot. Thanks for the pics.

Re: HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
I wish we could ATTACH images, instead of having to LINK to them. If a website goes down, the image or data is lost to the Forum.
Anyway, as promised here are cropped scans to make the print as large as possible, within the 800 X 800 limits of the Board.

Cool stuff. Thanks for posting that. I really dig the variable relay delay. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Well, since you offered, would you mind snapping a shot of the back of the front panel please? Thank you!

Is this what you were interested in ?
The "Remote Cable" would be EASY to make, since only 7 of the 9 pins are used. I believe those are standard "MOLEX" connectors and 8-Conductor rotator cable or even individual wires, bound together with heat=shrink tubing, would get the job done !

It said it was a "non-sponsor" link. I imagine the forum did it. Unfortunately, that makes it very inconvenient for people wanting to share data. I found the file by Googling the part of the link that was not blocked.
Need any more PICS of the amp ?

Re: HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
surprised to see another one. they are rare...i have two, including the original square box shape, the newer one came with, and still has TRW transistors(in one version)
always looking for another, they were popular on the east coast, made by Telco on long island.i once went there for a schematic and was told all they had were the gigantic blue prints,so i got one for the hurricane 350 and also the cyclone 500,and typhoon...about 33 years ago.... no longer have the prints wish i did,but i still have the amps...
PS i tried to post pix but it says 'not authorized..im not sure how to do it

Re: HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
I'm not sure about why you can't posts pics. You may have to make a certain number of posts before you can. Search around a little. They probably have something about posting pics.desert rat 2 wrote:surprised to see another one. they are rare...i have two, including the original square box shape, the newer one came with, and still has TRW transistors(in one version)

Re: HURRICANE 350 AMP & INSTRUCTION MANUAL
I just picked one of these up and wanted to know if I can still get parts for this Amp and how many watts dose this Amp push out? I've downloaded the manual you post. Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
