I have a 2 pill leaner that does 500 watts. how big of a amp would be safe to run this I know it will work in my truck but I'm putting it in the house because I'm going to use it to drive a bigger amp. so what the rule how many amps per 100 watts is what I really need to know I guess.

I know it sounds messed up but its true it has big bills in it and the way it way built. I seen it on the meter

You must have the same kind of meter this CB Shop over by the house has... His meter shows Cobra 19's doing 60w's after he tunes them!

yep its very easy to fix up a meter to show
any wattage you want. its just a resister change. great if you want to rip people off.

and the pills are the same size doesn't matter what pills you use.

Naaaa....I quit dealing with Big Earl years ago after he charged me $50 to clean out my receive in my old Cobra 29 LTD...couldn't tell he did a dang thang.

If they're built right they will do 500. It's an extremely dirty 500 and the pills will eventually fail. I've pushed 2 pills to double that on 20 volts...used to clobber a local guys 6 pill with it. I don't work on people's junk or make money from this hobby, so I have no use for a rigged watt meter.

Your right on the volting...Stick 20v's in a 2 pill with original Toshiba 2879's and it will dance at 500+ watts...least for a little while.

Stick 20v's in one with DEI 2879's tho, and watch the smoke!
