2sc2166 Drivers and Finals
Some articles i read says a 2sc2166 can be used as a driver or a final. So my question is can a 2sc2166 be used as the driver and the final in the same radio at the same time. And what would the results be. (just curious) D-minus

Well a 2SC2166 is a 12volt 6 watt output transistor so to replace a final like a 2312 that does 18 watts you would not be at full power out only 6 watts. But for a stock AM radio it could be used a final.
Also a 2166 and 2312 has a diode bridge a crossed the emitter and collector and 1969 1306 1307 does not so the bias circuit would need modified if those are used as replacements to get full power.
