Re: Sirio Performer 5000 Fighter Limited Edition & PL145 Mag

My biggest gripe about the newer Wilson antennas is the QC. I have 2 brand new ones that won't tune below 1.7:1. Replaced the antenna with an old Wilson 5000 coil and whip and vswr was 1.0:1 at 27.400, as well as R=50, X=0 as measured with an MFJ269. Couldn't get the 2 new ones to get even close to ...

Re: All black fatboy 2x2290 amp

Again, listen to 543. I personally wouldn't push that amp beyond 160w pep max. And that is with a 40w carrier max as well. You want a 1:4 ratio of power or close to it. So if DK out of amp if 40w, then pep should be about 160w. At 50w DK you'll see about 200w pep, or should. But you will be pushing ...

Re: All black fatboy 2x2290 amp

I would listen to what 543 is telling you and run that amp as suggested. 40-50 watts carrier max out of amp. This may take anywhere from .1-2 watts of DK. A single final radio is what is needed. Your radio at 60w pep is way too much drive for this amp. That is enough drive for a 4-6 pill amp. Way to...

Well at least it's not the radio! Try looking at both ends of the mic. Both at the plug and at the mic itself. Possibly a pinched wire somewhere shorting out.
