Ok so I took it apart to take pictures and then figured out all I needed to do was use the clear pull tab and it came out easy although going back in not so easy hehe. Galaxy 797 face plate removal

How do I disconnect the ribbon for the Starlight at the faceplate? Do I need a special tool or will it just pull out? I want to put some shrink wrap on the TX LED.

I just went through this myself and one thing you can look up is how well your soil conducts which can help you plan ground rods. I'm a little nervous about your 6 footer being adequate to meet code.

The orange or red display window allows the Blue LEDs to stand out more clearly. If the LEDs were red, then you would not see them, in which case the display lens is usually green when the LEDs are Red. Yup, a Jeep waiting at the light, looked like a 102 but I was making a turn.

I have them completed but sure enough not pretty enough to show anyone. As far as my 25 watt irons go I have built 3 radio kits with them but they do not shine on the 259's or de-soldering op.'s so some day I will upgrade. The one I heated in the torch was an old rat shack so I didn't care if it die...

Why not just put the A99 above the TV antenna? You may have to do some reinforcing for the additional wind load, but that would allow you to kill two birds with one stone. I wasn't sure if that would cause an swr issue but other than that I have no problem putting them together. I'll plan it out so...

For antenna grounding you want the shortest path to ground. You also do not want sharp bends or angles in your ground wire. Consider the circuit path of your proposed ground wire.
