Amplifier on PA output

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I'm going to put a small amplifier on the PA output on my cobra 29. My question is, can I just solder the power and ground wires for the amplifier to the back of the power input plug inside my radio. I need some help getting a new camera for my DVR system at work. They put me in charge of it and I know little to nothing about security camera systems. I need a 2.4 GHz outdoor camera that has a range of a least 280 feet. The existing camera quit working but the 2.4 GHz receiver is still good. Will...

Re: Transfer case control module

Contact cleaner would be what I would use and a shift brush small enough to get in the crevices. After you get it cleaned up use a little dielectric grease to deter the problem again. 3's Greg i just used rubbing alcohol since thats all i had and i did put the dielectric grease on there. i saw that...

Re: Mobile install suggestions

Do you think i could get a cobra 25 to fit in there? February 27th, 2014, 10:01 pm Yes the Dremel4000 is I believe the best tool I have ever bought, the flex shaft lets you get into some tight areas the cut. That whole pocket area in your Blazer could be cut out to fit a 7" wide radio there and have...

Re: Mobile install suggestions

Nothing wrong with the compact CB's out there on the market. I'm a fan of the Uniden Pro510xl and Pro520xl myself. I have a couple of the 510's...one I bought back in '94 and it still works great to this day. They are a hard value to beat at just over $40 brand new. Heck, they have darn near 100% a...

Re: What have you recently acquired for new radio gear ?

I recently got a 150 watt no-name amp for free. I'll probably just keep it and stick it in the mobile since it's my first amp.
