Channel Selector II

Been finding these Channel Selector's on e-bay and other sites. It's a 12 position switch with added Xtal's and trimmer's in them. They have been added to an old Hy-Range five and can be added to any radio as long as the Xtal in the box can add up to the frequency your trying to get. I bought 2 new ...

Think about drilling the hole before you do it,, Browning hid it from the inexperienced for a reason. I would say that if the previous owner had the mic cranked all the way up he certainly did inside the radio as well.

Hey 295. There's a pod on the bottom of the mic. There may be a hole in the bottom cover and stick a small screwdriver in it and turn it down If there's no hole then pull the bottom cover and adj it. Then use the paper isolator and make a pattern and drill a hole in the bottom cover so you don't hav...

22A mod on a Hy-Range 5 Model 674B

Any expert's out there remember how to do the 22A mod on a 23 channel Hy-Gain, Hy_range 5 Model 674B.
I have one that's had the upper channel's added to it and it goes to 27.555.
I'm also wanting to add a 10KZ switch to it.

I got mine just like that from GI Joes a couple year's back. I also mace a adaptor box for Browning, Hy-Range, Icom and Kenwood mic's that is wired for cobra 4 pin. Just plug the cord from the box into the cobra 4 pin socket and check the other's.
I also run it portable with a 9 volt battery

Re: Demodulator plans?

Here's a few other things.
What if ya substitute the 1K pot for a 5K pot?
Making a shopping list for Rat Shack and 5K is the smallest pot.
Also the NTE583 diode is not available, Would a 1N914 substitute?
Also no steel enclosures, so it's got to be acquired else where.
