I was running a 2 pill in my Maxima but now having some check engine light issues so not running anything. For my suv 4runner 1999, I run btwn 2 pill and 4 pill. Not much going on with this older truck but the wipers going off. The superstar radio seems to fix the problem...no more wipers going off....

I looked up the company. What exactly do they sell for the cobra 2000? I have two cobras. One, the freq counter jumps all over the place. I have learned to live with it. I think the other radio, the freq counter kind of blinks out a bit. I haven't used the other radio in a year.

You can talk on the Bowl aka Channel 6 with 300 watts to 1,000 watts --- condition and timing plays a part. When the big bosses are fighting I stay away...when things are clear, I spread my fins and have a good time. :fish:

No one should ever need to run no more than 1,000 to 3,000 watts and that's pushing it. Many CBers with large amounts of watts (20kw) are on the radio to fight -- such a waste of energy. Most have good talking stations but they have this need to shower who is boss or whose power will out talk the ot...

This one is in top shape (definitely for someone that wants to use it to talk)

Has been in a styrofoam box for years

Its clean, you can eat off it

Not sure which tubes are in it -- I know either of the tubes 6lf6 or 89.... are expensive

No its not a joke. Like the other response: if you didnt use the amp mic and you were using a stock mic, you would see a difference. Cobra 2000 Frequency Counter

This Cobra 2000, the frequency numbers jump around. There are extra freq and a slider for the wattage. The freq do not seem to be on point. I am sure CB Doctor knows the fix.

I love the radio, very loud, good talker. I am okay with the mods -- reason I purchased it.

I have been back talking on the CB for the last 4 years and skip has been wonderful. Yes, when the Sun is out, people come out, mother nature is happy and skip is yummy.

I had this same prob when going from my laptop to a specific speaker wiring -- found the plug I needed

I will investigate this further -- I am not going to solder anything -- lol

I have not picked up a solder iron in over 25 years
